Mrs. Nandhitha Ravi, an upcoming singer, received her early training in music from her grandmother Mrs. Thulasi Subramaniam, followed by advanced training from her mother, Mrs. Rama Ravi. She is also learning from Vidwan Bombay S. Ramachandran from 1993 and from Mrs. D.K.Pattammal since 1998. Nandhitha Ravi is a graded artiste of All India Radio, Chennai, She has secured several prizes in music competitions held by The Music Academy and The Indian Fine Arts Society. A regular accompanying vocal artist with her mother, Rama Ravi, she has given solo performances in various prestigious organization including Sri Krishna Gana Sabha and Bharat Kalachar in 1998 and Naada Inbam at Raga Sudha in 1999. She received the Chembai Memorial Endowment award for her concert at Sri Krishna Gana Sabha. She gave concerts during the December 1999 music season for Naada Inbam, Kartik Fine Arts and Kapali Fine Arts. A cassette and a CD of Nanditha Ravi were released in November 1999.
